A Word On Self-Publishing

Today Cape Cod Writers Center presented a “How To Be Happily Self-Published” workshop at the Cape Codder in Hyannis. The three presenters each had their own publishing companies and gave wonderful presentations. The consensus being that if self-publishing is the way your going to go, go local. Each company expressed interest in getting to know their authors personally and fitting their service to the work and the person.

If you are an author with something to say and have written a book and want to self-publish, follow this link:

and check out these three women. I would put my book-baby in any of their three hands. All three own highly reputable companies, none of which are classified as a “vanity press”. They are all very discriminate about the quality of work they are willing to represent. All three have clear packages and services for authors to choose from.

These three women changed my attitude toward self-publishing today. It was a fun and very informative day. Kudos to the Cape Cod Writers Center for another successful event.

And so, as another day goes by, my confidence as a writer was fueled today, I’m proud to be a member and board representative of this wonderful organization, and…I have written.
