Many treasures lie under the sea, but will Alistar find the one that will make ‘The Perfect Birthday Present’ for his mom? Join this adventurous little sea star and his best buddy Barnaby (a blob fish) as they travel through the beautiful deep blue sea, meeting many other creatures of the deep. When the two friends finally stumble upon the perfect present, Alistar needs to make a difficult decision, which only he can make. When he does, the little sea star learns that there are times when it is not the present that is important, but the thought behind it.

For Linda Crowley, the first day of the year had always been set aside to work on new, positive beginnings and 1970 was no different. Where Does the Fat Go?

Over the course of my 60 plus years I must have gained and lost 20-30 pounds over and over. When I lost those pounds, I never stopped to think about where they went, I was just glad they were gone.

The other day Michael Wood tweeted out an article that piqued my curiosity about that . . . → Read More: Where Does the Fat Go?

When I Speak of Inspration

Very often I bring you things and people in this blog that have touched my life and inspired me to be better than I am today or to “go for it” and try to reach a goal. What I have for you today touches on something that means a lot to me and I . . . → Read More: When I Speak of Inspration

It’s 7 am…

Gearing Up

Yesterday I announced my intention to participate in Michael Wood's 10,000 step challenge. Today I don't think I could do the sugar part – abstain from added sugar for the whole month – without doing some sort of gearing up during these last few weeks of October. I need some mental preparation and lots . . . → Read More: Gearing Up

Happy Anniversary

Linkedin informed me and a lot of my friends that it is my one year anniversary of working at Koko FitClub. I can’t believe it’s been a year. When I think back to last August when I first started at Koko, and I look at myself one year later, I’m astounded.

A Bucket For My Birthday

Birthdays, as birthdays go for most people, are not something we like to discuss unless you’re in grade school or about to be able to get a driver’s license or be allowed to drink legally. After that birthdays are not well-received. The first feared birthday is the 30th one. This one leaves childhood far behind . . . → Read More: A Bucket For My Birthday

The Pornographication of Fitness

This Huff Post article graced my newsfeed this morning and piqued my interest because of my belief in the seriousness of exercise and muscle building at any age. Tosca Reno answers the question Why do I need to exercise? better than anyone I’ve read. And not only for women. Men take heed, too. It’s not . . . → Read More: The Pornographication of Fitness

Thirty-nine years ago today my husband and I got married and honeymooned here on the cape. We always knew this magical place would someday be our home.
