Many treasures lie under the sea, but will Alistar find the one that will make ‘The Perfect Birthday Present’ for his mom? Join this adventurous little sea star and his best buddy Barnaby (a blob fish) as they travel through the beautiful deep blue sea, meeting many other creatures of the deep. When the two friends finally stumble upon the perfect present, Alistar needs to make a difficult decision, which only he can make. When he does, the little sea star learns that there are times when it is not the present that is important, but the thought behind it.

For Linda Crowley, the first day of the year had always been set aside to work on new, positive beginnings and 1970 was no different. Her husband and children were by all accounts healthy and no one even considered the terrible thought that tragedy would strike before the day was over, and life as she had known it was gone.

One By One

Two weeks ago they came – one by one. Cars and groups of people arrived steadily from Wednesday through Sunday. Today they are all gone. They began leaving on Friday with my husband and daughter being the last two to vacate the premises this morning.

It’s over. The wedding and family vacations that were . . . → Read More: One By One

A Bit of Traffic, A Bit of Patience

One morning last week I was on my way to exercise. I stopped at the end of my road to make a right onto 6A, the main road. There was one car in front of me, and I was patiently waiting my turn to move into first position. I noticed the continuous line of traffic . . . → Read More: A Bit of Traffic, A Bit of Patience

Tiny Musings # 4 – Not – Do One Little Thing

Today my tiny musing won’t fit into 140 characters no matter how hard I try. And that is a good thing because it means writing is becoming easier again. Today is about having a big goal and doing one little thing, the very first step, towards it.

I’ve mentioned in a past post that . . . → Read More: Tiny Musings # 4 – Not – Do One Little Thing

Tiny Musings #3 – Go Ahead – Talk To Yourself

“Nobody is successful in any venture just by wishing they would be. Successful people make a plan and talk to themselves about it consistently.” ~Living Beyond Your Feelings

And so, as another day goes by, shoveling mulch is a great venue for those self conversations, some amazing decisions were plotted out, and…I have written. Getting . . . → Read More: Tiny Musings #3 – Go Ahead – Talk To Yourself

Tiny Musings #2 – The Vessel

Surrendering to being God’s vessel is like going white water rafting without a paddle – you don’t get to steer – you just hang on!

And so, as another day goes by, more on this tomorrow, stay tuned, and…I have written.

Did you know you are the master of your day? It’s a simple choice. Choose how you will think today. Good day or bad- choose YOUR path today.

In The Zone

Another New Year’s resolution accomplished. I’m in my Koko Fit Zone. My e-BMI is 28.2, putting me right smack in the middle of my zone meter. Starting out at 31.8 over a year ago, I never thought this day would come. I’m back to the fit body I retired with and then let slip . . . → Read More: In The Zone

Outside My Wimdow

The last slap of winter on Cape Cod brings roaring wind, but not a lot of snow outside my window this morning. Most moaned and groaned about this storm as it was predicted all week long. Yesterday was gorgeous here. I drove to work in the late . . . → Read More: Outside My Wimdow
